I delivered the keynote address at the unveiling of a monument at the Dr. Collip Courtyard and Reflection Garden along the Kiwanis Bayshore Trail on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 in J.B. Collip’s hometown of Belleville, Ontario. Watch video highlights of the event (6 minutes)

Also in attendance for the ceremony were Mayor Mitch Panciuk, City Council, members of the Dr. James Bertram Collip Memorial Committee, Prof. Christopher Rutty (medical historian, University of Toronto), representatives of Diabetes Canada, members of the Collip family and other esteemed guests.

“The positive response we have received from the diabetes and medical community, and Dr. Collip’s family members across North America is very exciting,” said Dr. James Betram Collip Memorial Committee Chair Rowland Tipper. “We look forward to welcoming them to our city and sharing this tribute to Dr. Collip with them during this historic unveiling event.”
