I was honoured to speak at Lawrence Park Community Church on June 8, 2025, Pentecost Sunday. My sermon was titled “Transformations” and dealt with the story of Dr Harry Benjamin and the early history of transgender health care, drawing from my book Wondrous Transformations.

It was lovely to reconnect with Reverend Stephen Milton, a colleague with whom I shared offices many years ago. This week marked Pentecost and the start of Pride Month. As well, the United Church of Canada will be marking its 100th anniversary on June 10th. It was a privilege to help Lawrence Park Community Church celebrate.
