I was delighted to attend the unveiling of the sidewalk star for Frederick Banting, Charles Best, James Bertram Collip, and John James Rickard Macleod by Canada’s Walk of Fame. Members of the Banting and Best families were on hand for the celebration, along with other inductees Graham Greene, Jully Black, Ajay Virmani, Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart, and the family of Salome Bey.
You can find the star on Simcoe Street, Toronto, just outside the entrance to Roy Thomson Hall.
